This policy explains what Optifly collects, how we use it, and how provider handoffs work when you plan trips with our AI travel agent.

Information We Collect

We collect the information you provide while using Optifly, such as account details, profile details, trip requests, travel preferences, messages, saved plans, dates, destinations, travelers, and selected options.

We may also collect technical information such as device type, browser type, app events, IP address, approximate region, cookies, and local storage values needed to keep the app working.

AI Processing

Optifly uses AI systems to understand trip requests, choose helpful search terms, summarize results, draft itineraries, and answer travel planning questions. To do that, we may process your prompts, chat messages, trip details, saved options, traveler counts, dates, origin, destination, and related context with AI infrastructure providers, including Google Vertex AI and Gemini where configured.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in chat messages unless it is necessary for the trip planning task. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect, so final booking, visa, safety, health, accessibility, and payment details should always be verified with the relevant provider or official source.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate Optifly, generate travel suggestions, search flights, stays, activities, and events, save your trip plan, remember basic preferences, improve reliability, protect the service, and respond to support requests.

When you ask Optifly to plan a trip, your request may be processed by AI systems and travel data providers so the app can return useful options and booking links.

AI And Travel Providers

Optifly may send relevant trip details to services that help power the experience, including AI model providers, maps or media providers, and travel providers such as Expedia, Viator, and Ticketmaster.

When you continue to a provider, you leave Optifly and interact with that provider directly. Their privacy policy, account flow, payment flow, cookies, cancellation rules, and customer support process apply.

Analytics, Session Replay, And Logs

We use analytics and observability tools to understand how Optifly is used and to improve reliability. These tools may include PostHog for product analytics and session replay, Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement through Google tag, Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API for attribution and conversion measurement, and Axiom for logs and performance signals.

Analytics and replay data may include pages viewed, clicks, scrolls, device and browser details, approximate location derived from IP address, session identifiers, errors, performance events, account identifiers when you are signed in, and attribution parameters such as campaign tags, `gclid`, `gbraid`, `wbraid`, `fbclid`, `_fbp`, and `_fbc` for booking handoff measurement. We use this information to improve the app, debug issues, measure product usage, and protect the service.

Cookies And Local Storage

Optifly uses cookies and local storage for authentication, session handling, saved app state, analytics, session replay, security, performance measurement, and remembering that you dismissed our cookie notice. These help the app work, keep the experience consistent, and show us where the planner needs improvement.

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Some parts of the app may not work correctly if required storage is blocked, and analytics controls may also be available through your browser, device, or provider settings.

How We Share Information

We share information with service providers that help us run the app, with travel providers when needed to search or hand off booking options, and when required for legal, security, or safety reasons.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with vendors that provide authentication, database hosting, infrastructure, analytics, observability, AI processing, maps, media, provider search, and booking handoff services for Optifly.

Service Providers We Use

Optifly may use Clerk for authentication, Postgres and Google Cloud for storage and infrastructure, Google Vertex AI and Gemini for AI processing, Google Maps for location features, Expedia, Viator, and Ticketmaster for travel and event data, PostHog for analytics and session replay, Google Analytics and Google Ads for measurement, Meta for attribution and conversion measurement, Axiom for logs, and other vendors that help operate the service.

Your Choices

You can update trip details, start a new chat, remove saved options, sign out, and clear browser storage. You can also use browser controls to limit cookies or certain analytics signals. If you want to request account or trip data deletion, contact us at hello@optifly.ai.

Data Retention And Security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Optifly, maintain saved trips, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve the service. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security.

Children, Changes, And Contact

Optifly is not intended for children under 13. We may update this policy as the product changes. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
